Gift Box Cake

This is the fourth fondant cake I have made. It was a treat to myself for studying so hard for my psych final and stressing out over my sociology final assignment.

Ryan chose the colors, since they're my favorite, and I think they look great together. The bow's loops deflated quite a bit and I probably could have added more, but I decided that I was pretty tired and was happy enough with it to just leave it how it was. I also probably could have used gumpaste instead of fondant to ensure the loops would keep their shape but I mainly just wanted to use up the left over fondant that I had and to relieve any left over stress.

Over all, I am pretty happy with this cake's outcome. I think the colors go great together and it was a fairly simple cake to make and I had a lot of fun making it.

  3. Hey Kayleigh
Wow.... I did not know you are soooo talented but now I am relieved as you can take over the family cake making. I am slightly jealous that I am not that creative so maybe you can teach me a thing or two. Welcome back HOME!
