I made this cake for my neighbour's son's 8th birthday. This wasn't the original plan but due to lack of energy, I had to make some changes. She asked for something simple as it was just for the family. That actually worked out pretty well for me since I'm still learning.Overall, I feel bad for charging her for this cake. The bow looks absolutely awful and the helmet is hardly even distinguishable. But she was really pleased with it and when I started to point out the mistakes (I don't know why I do this!) she responded with "don't even point them out because it looks flawless to me". I can't believe she gave me forty bucks though!
My favorite part is the little footballs which my mom and Justine made. And the actual covering of the cake was definitely the best I've done! I really need to learn how to cover square cakes though, round ones are getting boring.
