Belly Cake
Army Tank Cake
This cake was made for a friend's brother's 10th birthday party. The client was pretty specific about the theme, which actually made my job a lot easier! I don't know what the deal with all the corn starch is but other than that I am really pleased with the results of this cake. It was pretty fun to make, mainly because I knew exactly what I was going to do. The little person was a last minute touch because it just seemed to be missing something. Covering squares/rectangles is so easy, I love it!

Farm & Oil Rig Cakes
The cake was for her husband, Jim, for Father's Day as well as his birthday. She asked for something farm related as well as something related to an oil rig. I personally didn't think the two belonged on the same cake, so I decided to make the farm scene as one cake and the oil rig themed cake seperate. These are all my fondant farm animals. The sheep is definitely my favorite! I spent so much time on this cake, and these guys were definitely my favorite part of the cake.

Father's Day
He was so excited when I showed it to him; I loved the expression on his face! It really is such an awesome feeling when you give someone a cake that they love! He's bringing it to work tomorrow to show some people, so hopefully that will lead to some more business!!

My First Paid Job!
Overall, I feel bad for charging her for this cake. The bow looks absolutely awful and the helmet is hardly even distinguishable. But she was really pleased with it and when I started to point out the mistakes (I don't know why I do this!) she responded with "don't even point them out because it looks flawless to me". I can't believe she gave me forty bucks though!
My favorite part is the little footballs which my mom and Justine made. And the actual covering of the cake was definitely the best I've done! I really need to learn how to cover square cakes though, round ones are getting boring.

Happy Mother's Day Grandma!
We worked on this cake for so long, I can't even believe it. It was a lot of fun (until the last hour or so!) and I'm definitely going to get Justine to help me out with my next cake! She had so many good ideas and was really easy to work with. This works out great too because now my boyfriend doesn't have to be forced into helping me out, and it gives Justine and I something to do!
My favorite part of this cake is definitely the flower pot. My Grandma even saved it!The lady bug is pretty cute too! The fence was supposed to have two posts in the middle, but at 11:00 we decided one was enough!
